Welcome to my blog about cars!!! In this blog you will be able to find some information about cars. Most of the information on this blog pertains to an Acura RSX Type S, mostly because I own one. Feel free to make suggestions about problems you may be having. I am also up for advice on additions to my own 2006 Acura RSX Type S. Have fun!

Sound system is my specialty. First id have to say that yes, a sound system is only valuable if you listen to music with strong bass (not rock), otherwise, the speakers arent even getting used ;p.
If you do get a system however, i HIGHLY recommend exactly this: 2 twelve inch. MTX JackHammer subs, with a 600 watt amplifier. All of this including a necessary radio head of your choice and including installation, it'll be around 1000 dollars....
Sound systems are nice to have in a show car. But sometimes sound systems arn't worth it because they don't enhance sound that much. Now todays cars have high power stock sound systems, so getting a sound system might be a bad investment.your going to spend easly $400 for an ok sound system that might have the same power as your car currently. I really can complain because I made a sub- woofer and it sucked compaired to my altima's bose sterio system (wiring done correctly).
I don't think a sound system would be good for you, R.J, because of the rock music you listen to. I would have to believe that a sound system is better for rap than rock. I really don't know how much a system really costs, but a good way to find a bargain price is to do some research through google or yahoo. It's also better to pay less than the typical price when it's the same thing. When you buy these systems or other customizations you take a chance of the people setting it up to mess up and messing up the whole car. Then, it can't be fixed, so it would be terrible if it actually happpened to your car.
I know nothing about cars, bu I do have a sound system in my car. I've always wanted it since I was little and got it as a gift and I love it. I would probably hae to agree though that if you listen to mostly rock there's really no point in having a sound system because you are barely using the bass, it's a waste. I listen to some rock and when I do there's no bass, the only thing it changes is that it sounds live, at least to me it does. The ones that I got as a gift about a year ago were brand MTX but I have no idea what they are, they were installed for me and honestly sound great. The only suggestion I can give you is either buy the ones were you can build them into the car or a small set because mine is like a huge brick box and I have no room in the trunk.:)
