HIDs

So, I have heard from a couple friends of mine who have HIDs (High intensity discharge) lights that they were a great upgrade to a car. I have realized that the lights that my car has are mediocre and have thought about getting these HIDs. Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts about getting a pair of these lights?

Rj, HID's are a great upgrade and look sick and definitely improve over the stock lights. There are a few things that you need to get a pair of these lights usually it all comes in a kit but if not you will need the HID bulbs, two Ballasts (they supply the power for the bulb which gives it the bluish-white color) and a relay so your car can recognize the lights. Also the HID's can be pretty pricey and can run you anywhere from 300-800 dollars.

I think that changing them is really good but the only problem is that your gonna spend around 500 to 800 dollars and when you are going to sell you they really don't give you the money back for your upgrades, i was planning on putting them on my new Ford Focus 2008 2 door coupe but thats the thing you make it look good but at the end you have lost that money, so my advice to you is to not waste the money like that save it up for a better car in the future.

I was also looking into doing the Hyper-White bulbs. I did no know that the kit was so expensive. Although it is a great addition to the car as well as a great increase in safty, I think I will be looking into a body kit before the lights. I also would recomend the same for you. In response to a past article, no stock rims look as nice as custom. I don't care if you have a Rolls Royce or a Mustang, a pair of rims hand-picked to match your car will always accentuate the overall look of the car. Don't do anything the cheap way, as I have learned that the hard way, spend the money and time looking into the wheels that will fit your car the best. I have seen many examples of a great looking RSX-S. I have found a few websites that actually have a program in which you can view your car with the rims on it, before you buy.

here is the website with an example.

Goodluck.
