Blow Off Valve

Does anyone have any thoughts about getting a blow off valve? I have heard that it will void my warranty and also a turbo is required. A turbo can get pretty pricey so I don't know if getting a blow off valve is going to happen anytime soon. I would really like to invest money into getting one because of the effects it brings to your car. I would recommend that any person who has a turbo or that is planning on purchasing one to also get a blow off valve as well. It will definitely be worth your money of a couple hundred dollars extra for the blow off valve. If you happen to get one, get back to me on how you like it performance-wise.

Dude a good turbo will set you back at least $3,800+. Thing is though the compression ration on the K20 in your Type-S is pretty high, 11:1. So only about 5 psi would be safe. Not sure how much horsepower you would gain off of that. Also turbos kill gas mileage, because of the air extra air that is being thrown into the engine, requiring more fuel to burn.

About the blow off valve, all it does is release the pressure the turbo builds up once it spools. That is what that cool "whooshing" sound is. IT IS COMPLETELY USELESS WITHOUT A TURBO.
