Is an Exhaust really Worth it?

That is a question that is really haunting me ever since I got my car. Is it really worth it to invest a couple hundred to maybe a thousand dollars in an exhaust system? To be honest, I am quite impressed with mine. It seems to have a nice sound even though it is a stock 2006 Acura RSX Type S exhaust. I was planning on just leaving the one that I have on. What do you guys think? Here is a link to the one that I was planning on looking at.

Hey RJ, I am very interested in your ordeal. Most people decide to install an exhaust after they put in a cold air intake. When looking for exhausts, it is best to get one that is custom made for your own car so that there is no cutting. It is also good to get one that is all bolt on so that if you ever decide to switch it out then you have a problem. Here is a link to a very good exhaust made for your specific car.

Borla is a great company that manufactures great products althhough they are a little pricey this exhaust is bound to give you at least 12 to 15 more horse power which is a lot for an exhaust system. For japanese cars such as yours there is a company that has special ordering directions called Katarie that is the best for its price which i think you should check out.

I'm going to agree and disagree with "saad". Typically from my understanding, those who look to improve their cars, usually start on exhaust, especially tuners and ricers (they love that ricey sound!). And yes, Borlas make the best axel backs. But if you're going to spend money on an exhaust, make sure you spend the extra money and get the pipes all the way to the headers (headers are a alot of money for a little, in my opinion).
Bottom line, the best axel back, the end, are Borlas for a low growl sound, and the best company for pipes going from the axel back to the headers is the brand "Pypes".
Do exhaust before anything else, it's worth the mula!

Ok so exaust. Do you want show or preformance? I guess you want preformance. I'm don't know much with preformance but I know more show. I don't think exaust is worth it, because your going to spend 1,000+ dollars on it plus exaust tips, plus some extra money to instal it. Have it profecionally installed it will be worth it. My friends Jetta GTI Exaust system dropped and the street tore hole in the crome pipes. But if money is not and problem, It is a good investment im boosting your car.
